Bio
Anfisa Bobylova is an internationally recognized Ukrainian pianist. Her concert geography stretches from Ukraine to the United States, and her extensive repertoire includes works from the Baroque to the Contemporary period.
She is a prizewinner of over 20 international piano competitions including Russian Music Piano Competition (Italy, 2021), Gustav Mahler Prize Piano Competition (Czech Republic, 2021), Orbetello Piano Competition (Italy, 2021), Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT (USA, 2020), Fausto Zadra Piano Competition (Italy, 2020), Agustín Aponte International Music Competition (Spain, 2018), Bela Bartok International Piano Competition (Austria, 2017), Shostakovich Piano Competition (Ukraine, 2016).
These competition successes have opened up new concert opportunities for the pianist. The first prize of Fausto Zadra Piano Competition also brought the recording contract with “XCLASSICS RECORDS” for a digital CD recording.
Anfisa Bobylova received her first piano lessons at the age of six from Lyudmila Popadyuk in her hometown Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine. Some years later at the age of 10 she performed her first solo concert. In 2007 she went on to study in Lviv in the class of Tetiana Aleksandrova, where she also started classes in composition by Myroslav Volynskyi. Soon the pianist debuted with her own compositions, as well as a soloist with Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra.
Later, Anfisa studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in the class of Prof. Yuriy Kot, where she completed her master’s degree and graduated with honors. Since 2016 she continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz under Prof. Manfred Tausch and Prof. Libor Novacek. Currently, she is studying with Prof. Dr. Milana Chernyavska.

Anfisa Bobylova has performed at such international music festivals as Sommerfestival Orpheus in Vienna, (Austria, 2021), Lato z Chopinem (Poland, 2021), Piano Extravaganza (Bulgaria, 2020), Scriabin Concert Series (Italy, 2020), Khmelnytskyi Kammer Fest (Ukraine, 2020), Haydn Festival (Austria, 2020), Festival Nei Suoni dei Luoghi and Carniarmonie (Italy, 2019). She has a rich concert experience that has allowed her to work with renowned conductors such as Mariusz Smolij, Andrea Barizza, Giuseppe Bruno, Yuriy Bervetskyi, Taras Martynyk or Sergiy Rabiychuck.
Chamber music forms an important part of the pianist’s musical life. Since 2017 Anfisa has been playing in a Duo with the violinist Tetiana Lutsyk and since 2018 she has been a member of Lemberg Piano Trio. With both formations she has won prizes at international competitions and taken part in music festivals. With Lemberg Piano Trio she made recordings for ORF (Austrian broadcasting).
Anfisa attended masterclasses with such prominent musicians as Robert Lewin, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Christoph Sischka, Antonio di Cristofano, Sergio di Simone, Uta Weyand, Sofja Guljak, Jean Francois Heisser, Sontraud Speidel, Chenxi Li, Oleg Stepanov and others.
Anfisa composes her own music and performs it at concerts. The pianist is interested in historically informed performance and plays harpsichord and fortepiano. She made a recording of Mozart’s sonatas on the fortepiano for Klangdebüt CD “Mozart am Hammerklavier“.
In 2021-2022 Anfisa worked as a piano instructor for the highly gifted and preparation piano students at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Since 2021 she has been leading her class at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatoire in Graz, Austria. Anfisa has given masterclasses in Italy, Ukraine and Austria.
